NSW U21's defend their National Title
Apr 30, 2009 --

I was recently part of the support staff for the New South Wales U21's Netball that travelled to Canberra to take in the National Championships.  It was a hectic week for the players and support staff with a total of eight games played over just six days.

The team went undefeated in the defence of their title, the heart-stopping final - a 43 to 41 victory over Victoria - a fitting way for the tournament to come to a close.

The result was a great achievment for the girls and coach Jon Fletcher, who had a limited preparation.  Goal Shooter Kimberly Borger was named Most Valuable Player for the tournament and was also amongst six of the NSW girls who were named in the National squad which will compete for the World Cup to be held in August.
